It is no surprise that humanity will never cease to create new methods to kill one another. However, one can appreciate the ingenuity and creativity that forges these weapons. A powerful, efficient, and sophisticated weapon can be seen as a work of art; the cleaner the cut, the louder the praise. The Novusions have amply demonstrated their mastery and skill in weapons development. From a long list of technological achievements does one such weapon reside, the Negative Energy Missile (N.E.M.); they’re also known as Reality Breakers. To a layman these objects of destruction would appear to be a miniature flying saucer. About one meter in diameter these “works of art” have the capability to annihilate just about any manmade ship or structure, no matter what sort of protection they boast.
These can be launched from just about any space or atmospheric faring vessel, even from a ground based launcher. However, they are extremely costly to build, not monetarily of course since the Novusions have abandoned any and all forms of currency in their civilization. These tools of destruction operate similarly to most spacecraft with faster than light capabilities. Without explaining every detail in their composure and methods of propulsion, they warp space time to bring itself to its designated target. From an aircraft or spacecraft it detaches, to allow the vehicle to increase its distance from the Reality Breaker before it becomes operational; failure to do so may result in unwanted damage to the vehicle. The Reality Breaker will then activate, silently and instantaneously launching itself into the target where it will then detonate a powerful warhead.
The purpose for building such an advanced missile like weapon is to possess the ability to launch an attack that no known countermeasures can foil. Nothing may interrupt this faster than light projectile since it literally bends spacetime around itself. If an attempt to shoot it down with point defense cannons were made, the bullets would simply “bend” or seemingly “phase” straight through the Reality Breaker due to its altered state from warping through spacetime. As was already stated, these extremely lethal weapons are far and few between, and are only used in the most extreme cases of Novusion interest. It is, however, rumored that each vessel belonging to a Pioneer are equipped with such weaponry, and it is highly recommended that extreme caution is taken when engaging any such spacecraft.
