It’s been five months since I’ve written one of these, which saddens me because that means I haven’t been making the desired progress on my story. Life can be full of distractions, and mine is no exception. In my life, I make my own distractions. For a long time I’ve had this idea for a board game that I’ve always wanted to explore, and now I have. This is why I haven’t been sharing consistent updates on my story, because I’ve instead dedicated most of my personal time to this board game concept.
I’ve given my story attention over the past few months, but nothing worth sharing during that time. I guess I lack the necessary disclipline to make real progress, or I’m simply too distracted; but what’s the difference right? I think about it almost every day, sometimes I write some notes down so I don’t forget an idea for a scene or plot device, but nothing more than that. This board game I’ve been working on has taken up all the time I would spend on writing, but maybe that isn’t a bad thing.
I’m very confident that this board game I’m designing has real potential, and when finished, will be a fresh new game in the market, hopefully. I won’t go into details yet, once the game is basically finished I will share the details then so people may go and check it out for themselves.
I begin my seasonal job soon, which means I’ll be very busy for the next six months. I hope to continue spending my free time on my creative projects during this time, and will continue to share updates when appropriate.
That’s all I really have for now. My story has a brand new take on chapter one, a new take on my main protagonist Loy, and a few other details that will remain hidden for now. My creative mind is still busy working, just not on the story right now, but I would like to change that if possible. Thank you for reading, and happy summer!
